20/20

20/2020/20 is the 40 minute “quick blast” version of enlighten yoga.  It’s an outdoor class that consists of:

20 minutes of brisk walking (plus some high octane leg strengtheners)

and

20 minutes of Kali Natha Yoga’s Gems of the Mother (gentle, functional anatomic stretching); pranayama (breathing techniques) and a brief meditation under the gazebo, or on the grass.

The 20/20 sessions are short little bursts of dynamite that are designed to enhance your TNT experience, to keep you moving, connected and focused.  The intention for 20/20 is to free you from the distortions of self-criticism and to help you see your self with perfect vision, as you really are!

WEAR

sneakers appropriate for brisk walking

-or-

rocker soled exercise sandals (these do come off quickly, so it’s easier to go barefoot when it’s time for the 20 minutes of yoga!)

a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen as needed

loose, comfy layers that you can walk and stretch in easily (since we’ll be outside, it’s vital to adjust for your comfort with layers!)

BRING

yoga mat

bottled water

iPod or other portable music device (optional)

headphones

we have a headphone adapter (shown below) that allows multiple users to connect to my iPod, so we can all hear the same jamz as we do our walk together!

We begin the 1 mile walk at Indian River State College’s Kight Center for Emerging Technologies gazebo, this practice is F-A-S-T, no-nonsense and fun!

Please be sure to r.s.v.p., so we know you’re coming, and arrive a few minutes early if you can, just to get settled in!  You may have us call you back by using the Call Me link at the bottom of this page.

PLEASE NOTE:  Inclement weather may or may not rain us out, since we sometimes have the benefit of a borrowed indoor space (courtesy of the Educator Preparation Institute).  Check in by calling, texting or e-mailing before class.

It’s a good idea to park in the radio station (WQCS) parking lot (student parking #800), near the giant radio tower, and close to the WQCS building itself.  (This will make it easy for you to grab your yoga mat out of your car as we pass through the lot on our way back to the gazebo).  The Kight center, building ‘V’, is adjacent to the Tomeu center building ‘C’.  The gazebo has a royal blue roof and is between buildings ‘C’ & ‘V’.  It sits right across the cross-campus road from the radio station building, and the massive radio tower.  (You can’t miss it!)  See the map below for details.
